How to Place an Order

Calling or e-mailing Jason Harrelson is the best way to begin the order process. It is important that Jason fully understands your playing and equipment preferences, sound concept, musical goals and exactly what you'd like to achieve with a modification or new Harrelson instrument. Jason is an active jazz and classical trumpeter that can offer sound advice on what to expect with any Harrelson Trumpet, Mouthpiece or Accessory. Many new clients may choose to visit Harrelson Trumpets in person to meet with Jason Harrelson and try several different trumpet configurations. Play-testing a Harrelson trumpet at the shop or a conference is recommended, but not necessary. Demo trumpets are also available for one-week trial at no charge (see link above).

Harrelson trumpets and modifications are hand-built by Jason Harrelson personally. Due to very high demand, we are no longer accepting modification orders. We will be focusing on our NEW Trumpet Models exclusively. However, there are plans to produce a modular modification system to work with most brand instruments. This system will offer the advantages of interchangeable leadpipes, tuning slides, receivers, adjustable gap, custom modular bracing and more.

If you would like a partial modification or something custom that is not listed here, please call for more information.

All orders require a deposit before work begins with the balance due before delivery of any instrument or mouthpiece. Monthly or one-time balance payments are acceptable. Please make all checks payable to: "Harrelson Modified Trumpets" and send to the address below. All modifications to existing instruments require that you ship your trumpet to Harrelson Trumpets. Please read the guidelines on shipping your instrument and/or mouthpiece below. In the case of ordering a new trumpet or modification, please include your preferred placement of all finger rings and approximate finger size (small, medium, large). It is very important that you acclimate to your new trumpet properly. Acclimation is simply a matter of getting to know the boundaries and tendencies of your new Harrelson trumpet and making this second nature. Please read the Acclimation tips provided with your trumpet (also linked below) and call Jason Harrelson if you have questions. Due to the nature of custom orders, there are no refunds or exchanges on any instruments. All trumpets are shipped double boxes in protective expanding foam packing. All customs and import duties and shipping charges are the buyer's responsibility.
